If you’re planning on visiting Ballarat sometime over the summer holidays, we’re sure that you’re interested in what sorts of events are being held in the area. The good news is that the city is filled to the brim with art and culture, so there will be plenty to keep you occupied over the Christmas and New Years period. Be sure to book accommodation at the Ballarat Budget Motel to avoid missing out!
If you’re coming to Ballarat over Christmas and don’t want to spend the day slaving in the kitchen, Mercure is hosting a delicious buffet lunch in their grand ballroom. Bubbles, beer, wine and soft drinks are also included as a part of the package. Santa himself will also drop by at some point! Tickets are $149 for adults and $59-$99 for children.
Haven’t got any plans for New Years Eve yet? Why not boogie your way into Suttons House of Music for their 70’s themed party, featuring The Urban Playboys? Doors open at 7pm and guests are also invited to partake in a light supper (gluten free and vegetarian options are available). Tickets are $50 per person.
If you’re looking for something a little different, you could head to The George Hotel for their Dance to the Decades II party. Enjoy live music when the doors open at 9pm – Trunk in The Lounge and Brodie Glen in The Lane Cider Bar. Tickets are $20 per person and will give you access to three great bars playing five decades of hits.
This is a 4 day Rockabilly and Rock ‘n’ Roll event held right in the heart of Ballarat, right on Lydiard Street. The festival celebrates all things Rockabilly, from music and fashion to cars and dancing. Enjoy the car show, live music (local, national and international acts) and market stalls. It runs from the 9th to the 12th of February 2017 and tickets are from $35.
We all know (and love) the music, so why not come along and enjoy a fantastic night? The concert is being held at the Mecure Hotel & Convention Centre on the 1st of April 2017, and tickets cost $95 per person. As well as the show, ticketholders will also be treated to a three course dinner beginning at 6:30pm.
